This Red saree is part of Panaya's Katan Silk Collection. Katan silk is the most prized variety of Banarasi weaving — made from tightly twisted pure mulberry silk threads that give a crisp, structured drape with a natural golden sheen. Red is the most celebrated bridal colour in Indian tradition.

Cut Work (also called Katwa) is a traditional Banarasi weaving technique where extra threads are carefully cut away after weaving, creating a clean, open-work finish. The Jaal pattern is a full-body net-like lattice design — one of the most iconic and grand Banarasi patterns, where the entire surface of the saree is covered in a continuous interlocking web of fine zari or silk motifs.
