Reception
Sarees
Every other saree in the trousseau follows tradition. The reception saree is the one you choose purely for how it makes you feel walking in — bold colour, heavy zari, and a drape that holds through hours of photographs.
How heavy should your reception saree be?
Weight isn't just about zari quantity — it decides how the saree moves on stage and how long you'll stay comfortable in it.
Scattered motifs, lighter overall weight. Good if you're on your feet greeting guests for most of the evening.
A textured, raised pattern that reads as rich without the weight of a full Jaal — a middle-ground option.
Dense, colourful zari coverage that photographs strongly under stage lighting — the most common reception pick.
Maximum zari coverage and the most formal option — best if you're seated for most of the reception.

What our customers say
I wanted something completely different from my wedding-day red. The magenta Meena Jaal piece was exactly the contrast I was looking for on stage.
The cut work brocade saree was lighter than I expected for how rich it looks in photos — I could actually move and dance in it all evening.
Ordered the dark purple Katan silk for my sister's reception. It held its shape through the whole night and the zari still looks brand new.
Questions we get about reception sarees
How is a reception saree different from a regular festive saree?
The core fabric and weave are the same — what changes is the styling intent. Reception pieces are usually chosen in bolder, more saturated colours and denser zari patterns because they need to hold up under stage lights and in group photographs.
Can I sit and stand comfortably in a heavier Jaal saree?
Yes, though a lighter Kadwa booti or cut work piece is easier if you'll be standing and greeting guests most of the night. Save the heaviest full Jaal pieces for a reception where you're mostly seated on stage.
Do you have matching options for family members attending the reception?
Yes, several of our jewel-tone sarees are available in adjacent shades, so mothers, sisters, or bridesmaids can pick complementary colours from the same collection.
What if the saree doesn't arrive in time for the reception?
We recommend ordering at least three to four weeks ahead for made-to-order pieces. If your date is closer than that, message us on WhatsApp at +91 9980245549 and we'll confirm what's ready to ship immediately.
