About This Saree
This is a Hot Pink Katan Silk Banarasi Saree (SKU 4645) with a Meena Jaal pattern woven using the Kadwa technique. It is handwoven in Varanasi by skilled weavers who have been practising this craft for generations.
Katan Silk is a tightly twisted, pure mulberry silk. It gives the saree a firm body, a clean drape, and a natural sheen. It is one of the finest silks used in Banarasi weaving.
Meena Jaal demands more of the weaver than almost any other pattern in the Banarasi tradition. First comes the Jaal — the lattice, patient and exacting, built thread by thread across the full expanse of the saree body until every inch is covered in an unbroken geometric web of gold or zari. Then, within each cell of this lattice, the meena work begins — coloured silk threads drawn by hand into the interstices of the gold framework, building colour and depth into a surface that already carries extraordinary complexity. The discipline required is immense; the margin for error is zero. What emerges from this process is not merely a patterned fabric but a layered one — gold above, colour within, silk below — a surface that catches light at every angle and reveals something new with every movement. On a Hot Pink base — electric, unapologetic, and radiating a joy that is entirely its own — the Meena Jaal achieves an almost overwhelming vibrancy. Hot Pink does not recede; it advances. It does not suggest; it declares. And against it, the gold lattice and the coloured meena inlay do not compete but instead find a kind of joyful equilibrium — each element amplifying the others until the whole becomes something far greater than its parts. This is a saree that is worn at the height of celebration, for moments that deserve to be marked in the most vivid terms possible. The Kadwa weave holds every thread of this intricate surface in absolute place — clean on the reverse, precise at every intersection, enduring across decades.

Hot Pink Katan Silk Saree — Kadwa Meena Jaal — Panaya Heritage
SKU 4645 is part of Panaya's Katan Silk Banarasi Saree collection. This Hot Pink saree features the prestigious Kadwa weaving technique with a Meena Jaal pattern — a full-body gold lattice with coloured silk inlay woven continuously across every inch of the fabric, set against a blazing, electric Hot Pink silk ground.
Hot Pink in Banarasi silk is a force of nature. It is the colour of celebration at its most uninhibited — of weddings in full swing, of sangeet nights that last until morning, of festive occasions where restraint has been deliberately and joyfully set aside. Paired with the Meena Jaal pattern, which brings both the geometry of gold and the warmth of coloured inlay to the surface, the result is a saree of extraordinary energy and visual richness. There is nothing tentative about this combination and nothing should be — it is made for women who live their celebrations fully and dress accordingly. An outstanding choice for sangeet, mehndi, wedding receptions, and any festive occasion where being remembered is not just acceptable but entirely the point.
Every Katan Silk saree from Panaya is handwoven in Varanasi by master weavers carrying generations of craft knowledge. All sarees carry the GI (Geographical Indication) tag and the Silk Mark certification issued by the Government of India.
