About This Saree
This is a Magenta Katan Silk Banarasi Saree (SKU 3961) with a Bird Booti pattern woven using the Kadwa technique. It is handwoven in Varanasi by skilled weavers who have been doing this craft for generations.
Katan Silk is a tightly twisted, pure mulberry silk. It gives the saree a firm body, a clean drape, and a natural sheen. It is one of the finest silks used in Banarasi weaving.
Bird Booti means small bird-shaped motifs are scattered evenly across the saree body. Birds are a classic and beloved motif in Banarasi weaving — they represent grace, freedom, and nature. Each tiny bird is woven with great detail and care. Against the bold Magenta base, these motifs stand out with beautiful contrast and elegance. The Kadwa weave means every motif is woven individually — no extra threads are cut, so the saree looks clean on both sides and lasts for many years.
